4. POSITIVE ABOUT OUR FUTURE & PASSIONATE ABOUT OUR COMMUNITY

Future

At London Irish we’re always moving forward.

We aspire to provide everyone, regardless of age, gender or ability, with the means to realise their full potential, within a supportive environment. We are dedicated to ensuring that each individual will be able to participate safely, have fun, and experience the uniquely rewarding culture of rugby. Equally important is our commitment to making every club member feel part of a friendly family.

There is recognition too of our duty to play an active and constructive role in our wider local community. We strive to use not just our facilities but also our privileges and skills to benefit others, particularly in the education and charity sectors.

The attainment of this culture of excellence on and off the pitch, through a high standard of coaching, mentoring and social structure, requires significant investment in resources. A fundamental element of our future vision is the building of positive collaborative partnerships with organisations with whom we have common ground, to achieve shared goals.

Community

Rugby is a sport for all.

We believe in everyone’s right to enjoy the many benefits it has to offer. We remain passionate about providing that opportunity to all. We are also aware of our responsibilities as part of a wider collective, and that the club will be stronger for looking out for others, not just in our local neighbourhood but in wider society.

We will always welcome people of all ages, genders, ethnicities and abilities, encouraging them to find their place in rugby, be it playing, coaching, supporting or whatever role they choose.

At Hazelwood the door is always open to fellow sports clubs, schools, charities, businesses and other local stakeholders. In the same spirit of community on which our great club was founded, we are committed to continuing to grow the London Irish family.

Our facilities may be second to none, but its our people, and how we treat others, that make this club special.
