In 1898 the club was established as a home-from-home for all Irish folk, regardless of creed or politics. The exile heartbeat remains strong to this day, but we have always been proudly diverse, multicultural and open to all.

That same principle of non-judgemental inclusivity has been a cornerstone of this famously convivial rugby family for 125 years, as we have forged a celebrated reputation as a haven of warm hospitality and friendship.

Generations of fiercely loyal, committed members have ensured that this longstanding ethos is upheld and that the club remains true to its values and sense of community.

It has always been a place where people from all walks of life come together, and stick together, through ups and downs. Perhaps the most cherished of all London Irish traditions is the welcome extended to all visitors, and this remains central to everything we do.
