Our boys started off very strong playing some fantastic rugby and caught our oppo sleeping. Within 15 mins we were 3 tries up (James x 2, Finn 1 all converted by Ollie F) and it was great rugby for us to watch. Or forwards cleared the rucks well, our half backs got quick ball out and linked up well with the centers and wings and we showed what team work can do. 20 mins in the game plan changed and due to the ease of the first 24 points the team started to become individuals and white line fever took over. This wasn’t I believe the coaches plan but letting the kids play on (as we do) we were soon out conceding points under the posts.

Again, second half started as we had finished the first, defending well and winning the set piece that I have to say, was owned by our forwards. With all the strong work in the scrums and line outs fitness started to take its toll on all the team and defensively we left gaps and in turn conceded a few more tries. Final score 24 – 33 and although it’s a loss we can really take more positive than negatives from this game and the coaches know the areas we need to build on for the rest of the season.
