Born in Dublin in the mid-1930’s, Ken was a member of Clontarf Rugby
Club, before moving to Galway to work. He played regularly for Corinthian’s
RFC before taking up refereeing, and qualified as a senior club referee.
Ken arrived in London in the late sixties and became very involved with
London Irish, both as a referee and a committee man. As a better than
average golfer, he was responsible for taking the golf society to where it is
today. He became Captain, Secretary, and President. His tours to Ireland
were legendry!
On his retirement, Ken left London for the warmer climes of Southern
Spain. He never returned to the UK. Ken died last Friday in the company of
his wife Nadia.
May he rest in peace.
