The Wild Geese have already entered the home straight, in horse-racing parlance, in National League 3 but if someone had designed the end of season fixtures in such an exciting fashion then I am sure they would be claiming credit! This Saturday is no exception when the Wild Geese visit Hertford, the 4th placed team in the league.

[blockquote]Preview from John S Hunter[/blockquote]

Hertford have nothing to play for at this late stage – except pride. That makes them dangerous opposition and the Wild Geese will not be suffering from complacency going into this fixture. Memories of the December fixture will still be very fresh in their minds, when Hertford became the only team to defeat the Wild Geese this season (10-12) and at Hazelwood. A win by the Wild Geese is necessary to go into next week’s fixture vs. Tonbridge Juddians with league points in hand. Kick-off is at 3.00 pm and your support will be very welcome, as ever.

The Wanderers are at the same venue, vs. Hertford 2nd XV, in the RFU Zoo Sports Shield. After their huge win last weekend, the Wanderers will be looking for further success to keep them away from the league’s danger zone, though they will have to do it the hard way as Hertford are lying 2nd in the league.
