Over 2,000 children took part in the London Irish International Mini Rugby Festival 2017 at Hazelwood. A fantastic time was had by all. The weather was warm and sunny and the play exceptional. Some of the London Irish Professional players (including Ben Franks) gave up their day to walk around the site and were introduced to the various visiting teams across the age groups.
Teams travelled from England, Ireland, Wales, France, Germany and the Netherlands to enjoy an excellent day of rugby.
The festival, which is in its 36th year, has grown into the largest mini rugby festival in Europe.
Huge thanks go to everyone involved in the build up to the festival, the families who hosted the visiting boys and those who worked tirelessly on the day to make it such a lovely experience for everyone.
