On Saturday past, 19 March, a tricky away fixture – as expected against the current 3rd placed team in the division – resulted in a 20-20 draw for the Wild Geese, to keep their pursuit of the National League 3 title on course. Tries were scored for the Wild Geese by lock Andy Evans and wing George Owen (yet again!). Both were converted by full-back Ollie Turner, who also kicked two penalty goals.

The 2nd placed team in the division – Tonbridge Juddians – won on the same afternoon by a cricket score, gaining bonus points, to bring them within 6 points of the Wild Geese. However, the Wild Geese have 2 out of their remaining 4 fixtures at Hazelwood – including TJs – so the destiny of the title is still very much in our own hands.

Top performances again today from both Geese and Wanderers, nearing the end now so stay focused and hopefully we will end the season in style and have a cracking trip to New York.

And have to compliment young Oli Turner again for slotting penalty to draw the game in the face of a lot of mouthing off from opposition and their supporters, big balls young man!
